Nursery: How could I retell a story?

This half term the Nursery children were learning all about Traditional Tales. They became expert storytellers and succeeded in their high- stakes project by retelling the story of the Three Billy Goats Gruff. They used intonation, facial expressions and actions to illustrate the changing moods and characters. They were absolutely incredible. Continuing with their amazing acting skills, they also participated in the Nativity and sang their hearts out to their friends and family. Not only have they been great performers, but they have also learned valuable skills of counting, number recognition and pre-reading skills. They have also shown great improvement in their social skills and have formed wonderful friendships where they support and encourage each other. We are really proud of our first term with our children and look forward to our next adventures
