Nursery & Reception Learning Highlights

Nursery

The nursery children have settled in well and made us really proud with their growing confidence. This half term has been all about who they are and the community they belong to. Children have been sharing pictures of their families and talking about things they love to do at home and at school. As a high stakes project, children were challenged to draw self portraits using their emerging writing skills and looking at their features in the mirror. They had great fun exploring the features of a face and what they looked like. We are so proud of their growing confidence and we look forward to watching them continue to flourish in the next half term.

Reception

Reception have been learning about where we can go on an adventure. We read the stories We're Going on a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen and Journey by Aaron Becker. We have made magic door biscuits and used our imaginations to decide where the magic doors will take us.
