Nursery & Reception Learning Highlights
BackNursery
The Nursery children have grown and excelled in so many ways this year! They have formed strong, kind and caring friendships, worked as a team, built amazing creations and engaged in their learning through multiple forms of play. They have created and manned their own ice cream and farm stalls, made numbers from Lego, sewed butterflies, painted beautiful artworks, impressed everyone at Sports Day, showed their skills at photography and learnt important life skills. Of course, another highlight this year was the Nursery Graduation where the children who are going into Reception performed songs for their parents and truly showed how far they've come this year. Our little graduates looked absolutely adorable and so grown up and made us all so proud with their performance! We wish them luck in Reception and look forward to having those who are returning back with us!
Reception
This term we have been making picture frames. This involved the children learning how to measure in centimetres using a tape measure, cutting wood pieces using a hacksaw, joining the wood using a hot glue gun, painting and decorating. The children have created some beautiful frames and learned lots of new skills. We visited Bekonskot model village and learned about how life was different when our parents and grandparents were babies.
