Number Day

Friday 5th February was Number Day at THLP. The main purpose of Number Day was to raise money for the NSPCC; have fun with numbers and promote a positive “can do” attitude to maths; understand about the work of the NSPCC as a charitable organisation and how to help children and young people; feel motivated and proud to make a difference; be excited about their Number Day Activities.

Children created Maths hats of all shapes, sizes, and colours, using lots of recycling resources.

The children also spent time outside completing different maths activities e.g. counting, collecting pebbles or wooden sticks and drawing maths sentences on the playground with chalk.
