At Langley Heritage Primary, we've designed our DT curriculum to boost creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving skills. Our goal is to make learning hands-on and fun, empowering students to be confident and resourceful designers. We focus on key skills like resilience and resourcefulness, laying the foundation for an excellent design and technology education.

Using learning powers in Design and Technology, students gain confidence, research existing designs, and understand new technologies. We prioritize core skills to help them innovate in a changing world. This unique curriculum equips students with skills for both their daily lives and future success.

We want our children to love learning and become experts. We encourage them to connect what they learn to their own experiences, making their learning more powerful. Our aim is to help them link ideas across different subjects, ask why things matter, and explore topics on their own to spark curiosity.

We understand the importance of building knowledge step by step. Some topics are revisited, going deeper each time, so children build a strong understanding. We believe children are more interested in lessons when they can relate them to their lives/ past experiences, making learning meaningful and enjoyable.
