Tejinder Deeks - Deputy Headteacher
I have always been driven by a passion for education and learning. From a young age, I took on leadership roles as a peer leader, starting at the age of 13. This early experience taught me the importance of guiding and supporting others, paving the way for my career in education.
I have had the privilege of working with children and young people in various settings, including primary schools, youth centres, colleges, secondary schools, and universities. Throughout my career, I have focused on training students in conflict resolution and challenging racism. By imparting these essential skills, I aim to create inclusive environments where individuals from diverse backgrounds can thrive together.
Since 2008, I have been devoted to my various roles in a primary school. This experience has allowed me to witness firsthand the transformative power of education. Every day, I strive to empower my students and instill in them a strong belief in their own abilities.
One principle that guides me in my work is the belief that every child should have a voice. I am passionate about fostering an environment where all children feel heard and valued.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, watching my favourite football team, long walks with my dog Jack Jack and playing board games and quizzes.
